![]() ![]() You will be able to see whether its melted or not by following the info on removing the assembly which is linked earlier in the thread. Somewhere on the forum (to be found with a search) there is info regarding a problem which causes the heater plug to melt. found a Corsa C too but someone had already had the bloody blower fan argh Good spot there Andy will pick those up for the next time it goes wrong Turns out it doesnt NEED the little carbon brushes all that much Was in Jan that I did this job and its still going strong. ![]() Originally Posted by excession Right - for future reference Couldnt find any local breakers with a grande punto (weird) So took the blower fan out again and thoroughly cleaned and lubricated the motor. not sure how long it will last but cant complain for now Right - for future reference Couldnt find any local breakers with a grande punto (weird) So took the blower fan out again and thoroughly cleaned and lubricated the motor. Have seen some suggestion that they are different parts but no definitive answer. My question is - what is the difference between the heater fan on an aircon and non-aircon car 06 plate. Have narrowed it down to the motor itself so going to grab one from a scrappy to see if that gets the Mrs going again. Hi Team Standard problem of the heater fan not working intermittently fixed with a bash on the side. leshill thanked for this postįIAT PUNTO GRANDE PUNTO III 199 Grande Punto heater fan with Air Con - which part Sometimes a little effort in using the search function bring results. The heater fan issue is well documented here over & over again. Originally Posted by leshill have the same problem but getting any help is like getting blood out of a stone. Leshill - I notice youve replied to a post with the same issue I have which is the heater blower fan not working. to the original post if u have checked the wiring loom im guessing you have a multimeter in which case makes sure you get 0v 3v 6v 9v and 12v (im guessing to the actual voltage but i would asume this is correct) on the respective settings on the controller also just because you have voltage doesnt mean you have current Usually if you only have off and full power it is a problem with the resistor pack. With the connector in place and the power on if I connect the negative feed to earth the fan bursts into action at full speed only and the switch is totally by passed. What I have found is that if I put a meeter across the terminal that connects the fan I get a 12v reading. Hello mate have the same problem but getting any help is like getting blood out of a stone. anybody know how i could fix this cheers in advance. I reckon the fan is hitting of the white housing that the fan sits in. I am wondering if anybody else has came across a similar problem or could give some advice right basically the heater blower on my 06 grande punto has stopped working i have checked the wiring loom and taken the fan out and they both work but when then i put everything back into place it wont spin.
